Millie & Chuck are <3<3<3 and Season 2 was FANTASTIC. I felt like watching old-school TAR again. Rewatching TARs 7-14 felt more of an obligation than a guilty pleasure. Guilty Pleasure: TAR 14, 12, 11, 10, 9, 7, 6, 3. Obligation: TAR 15, 13, 5, 4. 15 is too recent to be desirable for re-watching right now.

Nothing will top TARs 3 and 5 imo. TAR 12 was the last one that I enjoyed for every episode. Note I tend to base my judgment on the locations and general route, not tasks and casts (which everyone's opinions differ on).
TAR 1 is by itself, since it was the first incarnation and lacked the classic music often heard in the background.

I am watching season 1 right now and I LOVE it. So strategic and fresh. Doesn't seem like anything is certain, and you never know what will happen next.

TAR 1 was awesome because it didn't feel anything like a reality show. It was basically a documentary about people traveling the world, learning a few things along the way, and getting lost or trapped in airports. And I'd take that over actually racing franticly.
That said, the lack of music in the background and Phil actually being the Philiminator does feel slightly odd.
