So listen up people! Because the team dynamics obviously did not work, I'm pulling it out and bringing in the one person - team similar to MTAR1. I will only take a maximum of 12 TEAMS.To apply... Post the following in this THREAD: - Name of team members - Picture you want me to use for your avatar. Make it clean and nice. I'll remove the crappy ones and replace it with a better picture. - Occupation/Relationship - Starting Line Introduction of no less than 10 lines. I will be announcing the official cast list by March 20. So all sign ups must be done by March 20. Team Application:- Andy and Mel, Roommates from New York City  Mel: HEY! We are Mel and Andy. Andy: Actually we are Andy and Mel! Mel: Oh ok then... Andy: We are going to bring a young and risk-taking attitude to this race and this is what is going to help propel us forward! Mel: We are very outgoing and we like to travel and so we know alot about different cultures and customs. Andy: I recently completed a Bachelor of Art, majoring in International Studies so I have a good grasp of the customs of many countries around the world. Mel: I also just completed a Bachelor of Arts however I majored in Spanish and I believe this will give us a major advantage if the race takes us to South America! Andy: Fingers crossed it does.. Mel: We will bring our A+ game EVERY SINGLE LEG! Andy: And we will rock this b*tch! Mel and Andy:  Dear Moo, Sorry for my recent inactivity in MTAR3. This has been due to uni orientations and what not. However as of this Monday I will be available permanently until late June.

CousinsAKBAR Markus Age: 30 Occupation: Real Estate Agent Location: Phoenix, Arizona, USA ADRIANNA Garner Age: 29 Occupation: Graphic Artist Location: Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Adrianna: I'm Adrianna! Akbar: And I'm Akbar. Adrianna: We first met each other when I was 6 years old. Akbar: I was adopted from Turkmenistan when I was still a baby. I kind of felt like I was strange because everyone else looked different then me. But when I met my cousin for the first time, she was my first real friend, and we had a really strong friendship. Adrianna: We had so much fun together! But, since we didn't live close enough to see each other, we only got to see each other for short periods of time every few years or so. Akbar: We are running the race to compete and win, for sure. But we're also here to have a good time with each other for a longer time than just a week. Adrianna: I think we have great similarities to each other, and hopefully we can rekindle the bond we had when we were younger. Akbar: Some of my skills include being able to make quick decisions when needed, a strong sense of navigation, and attention to detail. I think the qualities I have are among the most important ones needed to do well in the race. Adrianna: Agreed! And as for me, I am good with arts and crafts of many kinds, am methodical, and patient. He doesn't seem to be very patient sometimes, so at a task that takes skill and patience, I will do it, but if it takes quick thinking or physical strength, he says he wants to handle it. Retsu (22) & Isamu (78)  Grandson/Grandfather Retsu: We're Isamu and Retsu, from Austin, Texas. Isamu: Retsu is of my grandchildren, the one I know best. He's so far the only one to have received a black belt in Karate. Retsu: Grandpa is a really big force to reckon with. He's managed the dojo for almost 50 years and he's still on his prime. Isamu: Definitely, age will not be a factor. I can still outrun most of my students and I still have more things to teach to America about the elderly.. Retsu: The other teams will most probably see us as a weaker team, but we'll show them otherwise. Isamu: I know what Retsu is capable of by himself, but I really wanted to see how well we can work as a team. Retsu: He's been my sensei since I was 4 and has taught me a lot of valuable lessons. However, I think we've missed some normal grandfather/grandchild interactions. Isamu: I think I chose to do this race with Retsu to get to know him better as a person. But I'd like to learn if he could become a leader. I'd like him to take over the dojo for me. Retsu: Get ready world Isamu: It's time to wax on and off |
