When teams land in Guayaquil, they must make their way to Guayas Dock and find a marked ship where their cluebox awaits.
Hours of Operation: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Due to the size of the ship, a maximum number of 2 teams will be able to get to in to receive their next clue; and each team will take approximately 2 minutes in the whole process.Post Actions and PM answers:Taxi to Guayas Docks! (- [INSERT AMOUNT] USD)
BASE TIME: 18 minutes / 10 USDQUESTION: What famous boat is docked in the Guayas Dock? Note that your post for the taxi and the time you will get after your transport will reflect the order in which you will enter the ship. For centuries, Guayaquil has been a tradepost of the country, and in this Detour, teams will now experience how trading of goods is done during the early days, and still even up to today. Their choice, Bundles of Bananas or Sacks of Cocoa.In Bundles of Bananas, teams will have to navigate the long and winding streets of Guayaquil while carrying 2 bundles of Bananas. Once teams have delivered their bananas to the right station, the house owner will give them a banana in which they must eat before receiving their next clue.
If teams think this is easy, they must think again. The long and winding path can be dangerous was they carry bananas around the neighborhood, as it may get crushed or get rotten. In the event this happens, teams will be given a penalty time of 10 minutes, before they can receive their next clue.
This task will require physical strength, but if teams could be able to muster their strengths, they will be able to receive their next clue quickly. DETOUR: All Detours will have two parts, the Selection, and the Task Proper. In this selection, all you need to do is to decide which Detour would you do.
BANANAS: *Run out of ship and to the bundles of bananas!*
COCOA: *Run out of ship and to the sacks of cocoa!*
You may decide to switch detours for an unlimited number of times in the update span without having an extra amount of time added. However, once the Detour task has been updated, you will receive a corresponding "Switching Detour Time Penalty" added to your total time.
DETOUR TASKS: 9:00 PM EST, Same day.
