Phil: You're now moments away from racing in one of the most challenging courses ever designed in the Race. This race has thirteen legs. At the end of each leg will be a pit stop. NINE of those pit stops, are elimination points. So you need to get there fast, or else you have a risk of being eliminated. Paul: This maybe harder than we originally thought... Andy: You've got that one right!! Phil: Your first clue is on top of the luggage you brought with you. When I say go, you can run over to your bags, read the clue, and jump onto the marked cars. Everything else, is under your discretion. *Pause* Phil: The first team to arrive at the end of all the legs will win ONE MILLION FICTIONAL DOLLARS! *Clapping and Cheering* Phil: Is everybody ready? ....... We are starting at 9am but there is now no DST so everything in the USA (and other countries with DST) start 1 hr earlier than before.

LEG 1: They Do Not Need A Surgeon, They Need A Witch Doctor! ~ Realm Once teams arrive in Merida, Venezuela, they must find the Plazas Las Heroinas to receive their next clue.TRANSPORT: This is how transportation will take place this season. Each transport has a fixed price, plus time increments for every player who posts. Attatched within each transport is a question, in which you must answer only ONCE, it will determined if you get lost or not. You have the interval for which this task is posted up until the next update to respond to the question, otherwise you're penalized to the lost zone.
You have the option NOT to answer the question in NON-SELF DRIVE legs, granted that you will get lost, and get an increase of 5 minutes added to your total transport time.

Teams will now fly more than 700 miles to the city of MERIDA, VENEZUELA. Merida has been known to at the foot of the Andes, only fifteen kilometers from Venezuela's highest point. It is also the centre for outdoor activities in Venezuela.
To get to MERIDA, VENEZUELA, all teams will have to book a flight from Miami to Caracas, and then sign up for one of two charter flights arriving at Merida at 7:15 AM and 9:00 AM the next day.
