I will be adjusting the difficulty of the questions this week. Note: These questions only assume you have seen the promos/Wikipedia.
Part 1: Roadblock! (40%)
This part now encompasses a streamlined version of the team selections. Essentially, you're answering questions about the order of the teams' relative (not absolute) placements. Should stop me from dominating at this section. 5% per question.
1a. Which team will come in first?
1b. Which team will come in last?
1c. State a team that will place second or third.
1d. State a team that will place fifth or sixth.
1e. How much time separates Michael/Louie and Jeff/Jordan's departure times? Be accurate within half an hour; answer 0 if departures are not shown.
1f. Which team will improve the most in position? Choose one if there are multiple.
1g. Which team will decrease the most in position? Choose one if there are multiple.
1h. Name a team that does not change in position. You may answer no one.
Part 2: Numbers and Navigation (12%)
Teams continue to race and bumble in France. Answer the following questions, each worth 4%.
2a. How many modes of transportation are seen in this episode (i.e. bikes, motorcycles, buses, cars, taxis, trains, but not running and walking).
2b. How many teams get lost (includes both while driving or during a task)?
2c. How many teams are shown stopping their cars on the side of the road (for example, to inspect the fender or ask a local)?
Part 3: Pit Stop! (43%) Let's have a mat chat!
3a. What is the prize for the leg (5%)? (Trip from Travelocity, a vehicle/watercraft, a gift card/hard cash, household item, None of the above)
3b. Who states the title (10% for correct person or 5% for correct team)?
3c. Which team is the first to say the word "wine" in the episode? (5%)
3d. Choose all of the following tasks that are related to wine: Roadblock, Detour, Fast Forward, General Task. (6%) Partial credit will be awarded; every excess choice will be penalized 2%.
3e. How many teams break a pyramid of wine cups? (4%)
3f. Arrange the following in order: Roadblock, Fast Forward, General Task, Detour. (9%) Omit those that are not included. Partial credit will be awarded; excess choices will be penalized 3%.
3g. How many teams receive a penalty? (4%)
Part 4: Switchback! (Special Route Marker) (5%)
Since we're halfway through the race, it's time to test your memory. 1e, 1f, 1g, 2a, 3a, 3b, and 3g all appeared last round. How many of these questions will have the same answers as those in the previous round?
Total: 100%
