Going to start a brand new fanfiction! Eleven teams are about to embark on a race around the world for one million dollars! Here are the teams... 1) ETHAN Fox & DANIELLE Harper - 21 & 21, Dating Danielle: Ethan and I have been dating for two years now... we get along together, and I would say that Ethan is my best friend. Ethan: We do think we can win... we're confident that we have a good shot at this. Danielle: My mom thinks we might be too nice, but we're gonna do our best. 2) BAYLEE Turner & CHRISTINA Meeks - 24 & 27, Best Friends Baylee: Christina and I were not always friends... in high school, Christina was a popular girl and I was a nerd. Christina: She was taking advanced math class. At the time, my boyfriend was paying her to do his homework. Baylee: But years later, we found out that we were working in the same clothing store. Without knowing who the other was, we totally hit it off. Christina: Yeah, everything is forgiven now. Just goes to show that high school is not forever. Baylee: We do everything together now! And I can't think of anyone who'd be a better teammate for this race around the world! 3) ASIA & TANIKA Brown - 28 & 26, Sisters Asia: Tanika and I are both strong-willed and competitive. Tanika: We don't like losing. Asia: I think people will look at us and probably be intimidated, but we're not concerned about that. We're not here to make friends. Tanika: We want to win. We really want to win. 4) PAUL McCormick & NADIA Destiny - 28 & 21, Dating Long Distance Nadia: Well, I am a model and Paul is... Paul: Not a model. Nadia: Oh, Paul. Paul: Nadia and I met totally by accident on a train, but we started talking and she- Nadia: I gave him my number. Paul: And I called the number. Nadia: And things went on from there. Paul: But we've been together for about three years now. And now doing the race together will be good for us to see how we really do together. Nadia: And we want money. Paul: Oh yeah, we want lots and lots of money. 5) NICK & GABRIELLE Ramos - 44 & 41, Married Nick: I think we could win because Gabrielle and I are... intelligent.... athletic.... Gabrielle: Oh, you're good with people, hun. Nick: You're good with people too. Gabrielle: We're both excellent with people. Nick: We might be underestimated by the other teams, but I think we may turn around and surprise them. 6) HEATHER Meyer & BIANCA Ruggiero - 30 & 28, Scrabble Players Heather: We're both nerds... Bianca: We're girl nerds. Nerdettes. Heather: Bianca and I have been playing Scrabble competitively for about two years. And we've both won tournaments, so for those of you who think Scrabble is a waste of time, it's totally not! Bianca: People may not think we're going to be able to do a lot of the stuff on the race, because they'll say we're all brains and nothing else... but we're going to prove how versatile we really are. 7) FRANZ Jacobson & CHELSEY Lim - 20 & 19, Friends Franz: We are the youngest team on the race. Chelsey: Which I'm sure most people will think is a disadvantage.. but we're young and we're going to be fast! Franz: And I think we'll get along well too. We're in the same theater group in college and we work together a lot. Chelsey: And we're not dating. Franz: We're definitely not dating. Chelsey: So we can't break up or anything. Franz: Which is good, because if we were dating and we did break up, we're both so dramatic that it would be ugly. Chelsey: Hahaha! I would claw your eyes out. Franz: I would block you on Facebook. Chelsey: You would not. Franz: Haha! 8) EDDY & JASMINA Santos - 26 & 21, Brother & Sister Eddy: Jasmina and I are really looking forward to this chance to bond more. Jasmina: There are six kids in our family. Eddy is the second and I'm the fourth. Eddy: Our mom died when we were very young. And then last year, our dad also died. Jasmina: So the six of us really had to sit down and decide what we were going to do now. And it was really hard for us. Eddy: We really want to win the million, it would really help our family get back together. But I'd also like to have this adventure with my sister because it'd be good to have some good times together after all the hardships that we've been through. 9) DEREK & STEVEN Chang - 48 & 26, Father & Son Derek: Steven is the greatest son I ever could have asked for. Steven: Yeah, and my dad is my hero too. We've always been close. Derek: Our plan is to go out there, tear up the race course, get out of there a million dollars richer. Steven: We may come off as being cocky or arrogant. But, I mean, we didn't join the race to lose. 10) MICK Tucker & JUSTIN Hart - 30 & 30, Best Friends Mick: Justin and I grew up right next door to each other. Justin: We've always been best friends, but we're both really different. Mick: Justin is the calm, athletic one. Justin: And Mick is just crazy. Really energetic and fun to be around, but he was also a straight A student in school. Mick: I think we're going to be a great team. And I'm looking forward to seeing how well we do on this race. 11) DON & VALERIE Reynolds - 60 & 62, Grandparents Don: I think we have an advantage over the other teams. Valerie: We've already traveled the world. Don: Every year since we've been married we've gone to a different country for a week. Valerie: So we've been to thirty-eight countries now. Don: So while we're older than the other teams, we know that age is experience. Valerie: The other teams are going to be surprised when they look up and see us ahead of them! Which of these 11 teams will have what it takes to win MK's Amazing Race? Find out on the first episode of MKAR!

Phil: This is Boston, a city full of American history. And within Boston, Fenway Park, home of the major league baseball team, the Boston Red Sox, and the oldest baseball stadium in America. From this stadium, eleven teams will begin their race around the world. The teams are...
Dating long distance, PAUL & NADIA Friends, FRANZ & CHELSEY Scrabble players, HEATHER & BIANCA Grandparents, DON & VALERIE Brother and sister, EDDY & JASMINA Best friends, BAYLEE & CHRISTINA Married couple, NICK & GABRIELLE Sisters, ASIA & TANIKA Dating couple, ETHAN & DANIELLE Best friends, MICK & JUSTIN And father and son, DEREK & STEVEN
Which of these eleven teams will have what it takes to win the Amazing Race? We’ll find out in just a few moments. - Phil: In just a few moments, you will compete in a race around the world. There will be eleven legs in this race. You will have to move as quickly as possible in each leg, because if you are last you may be eliminated. The team who comes in first in the final leg will be the winner of the million dollar prize. Now your first clue lies on top of the luggage you brought with you. On my go, you can run to your baggage, read the first clue, and begin your race around the world. Are you ready? The world is waiting…. GO!
The eleven teams ran to their luggage and the race began.
Justin: Drive a marked car to Logan International Airport. Steven: Once there, fly to Madrid, Spain. Asia: Once you arrive in Madrid, make your way to the Plaza de Cibeles where you will find your next clue.
The teams raced to their cars. Mick & Justin were the first team to their car followed by Asia & Tanika. Mick: Don’t look now, Justin, but I think we’re the first team out of the parking lot! Justin: Well, let’s not lose it now. Asia: You’re going to have to help direct me Tanika, because I ain’t that good at driving. Tanika: We’ve got a good lead, so don’t worry about it.
One by one, the other teams left the parking lot and were all on their way to the airport. After they arrived, they found two flights to Madrid. One arrived at 6 PM while the other would arrive at 7 PM. The teams on the first flight were Mick & Justin, Asia & Tanika, Derek & Steven, Paul & Nadia, and Ethan & Danielle. The teams on the second flight were Heather & Bianca, Eddy & Jasmina, Don & Valerie, Franz & Chelsey, Nick & Gabrielle, and Baylee & Christina.
While waiting, the teams began to bond and meet each other. Baylee: I really like the teams that we’re racing against. I think some of them are pretty cool. Christina: Except that Asia & Tanika weren’t really talking to the rest of us very much. Baylee: I think that maybe they’re being over-competitive.
The first flight arrived and teams rushed out of the airport. Derek & Steven were the first to catch their cab. Steven: Plaza de Cibeles! Fast, really fast, we’re in a race. Asia & Tanika were next to get a taxi, followed by Mick & Justin and Paul & Nadia. Ethan & Danielle however were having difficulty getting a cab to stop for them. Danielle: Stop cars! Stop! Ethan: Um, the other teams took all the taxis before us… so… we’re kind of in trouble right now. Danielle: I’m trying to stop a cab, but none of them are stopping for us. Ethan: We don’t know if we’re supposed to stand somewhere or do something or what… Danielle: Ethan, over here! Ethan: Oh good… I think we’re only like five minutes behind Paul & Nadia… so we’re okay.
Derek & Steven arrived at the Plaza de Cibeles and opened the clue. Derek: Detour! Bank or Ball In Bank, make your way by foot to the Bank of Spain where you will count one million euros by moving the money from one table to another. Once you start the counting task, you will only be allowed to speak in Spanish. You may not write notes. If you speak in English, you will have to restart counting. In Ball, you will travel to Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, home of the Real Madrid soccer team. Once there, you will have to dribble a soccer ball through a training course and then attempt to score on a real soccer goalie. You will have to navigate the course each time before you shoot and both members must score before you may proceed. Steven: Well, we can’t speak Spanish. Derek: Yeah, but it’s just counting. We can count without talking. Steven: No. I want to do the Ball one. Let’s do that. Derek: Okay, fine.
Asia: Wait for us, please. Tanika: Bank or Ball? Asia: Definitely Ball.
Mick: Bank or Ball? Justin: A soccer detour? We are so doing that one! Mick: Justin’s kind of excited now, which doesn’t happen that often. Justin: I am! I am excited! Mick: He’s always wanted to go to a real football stadium. Justin: This is going to be so much fun. I’m like… yes!
Paul: What do you think Nadia? Nadia: They both sound hard. Paul: I know a little bit of Spanish. Nadia: I don’t really do sports. Paul: Okay, we’ll do Bank then.
Ethan: Bank or Ball? Ball. Danielle: Oh yeah.
While the other teams were on their way to the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, Paul and Nadia had already reached the Bank of Spain.
Paul: So since we can’t talk after we start, let’s just get our strategy worked out first. You make piles of one thousand and if we make a thousand piles of a thousand… that should be one million. Nadia: Isn’t that like a lot of piles? Paul: Okay, ten piles of one hundred thousand. You make five and I make five. And do it silently. Nadia: Okay.
Paul and Nadia began the task, counting money and putting it on the table. Nadia: Wait, how much money do you have? Banker: START OVER! Nadia: What? OH! Oh, I’m sorry! Paul: It’s okay. We’ll just do it again. We can do this. Just you do your part and ignore me. Just concentrate on you.
Derek & Steven were the first team to arrive at the stadium. Steven took the course first, shot and missed. Derek was next and he also missed. Steven: We’re not very good at sports, so we know it may be a while. But we can play sports better than we can speak Spanish, so we figured we should go for this.
Asia and Tanika arrived next and took the course on the opposite end of the field. Tanika missed, while Asia’s shot was blocked by the goalie. Tanika: Nice shot, Asia. We’ll be out of here soon, I bet.
Paul: Uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco, seis, siete, ocho, nueve, diez….
Tanika: I got it! Asia: Good job, Tanika! Steven: The girls got one Dad! Derek: Shoot… and the boys are here. Mick: Hey guys! Steven: Hey Mick. Hey Justin. Mick: Glad to see you’re happy to see us.
Justin took the course first and scored on his first shot. Mick went through and missed. Steven & Derek both failed on their next try, while Mick made it on his second try.
Mick: YES! Justin: Awesome Mick! Get the clue. Mick: Make your way to the Museo Reina Sofia and find Guernica, where you will receive your next clue. Justin: What’s Guernica? Mick: I don’t know, but we’ll find out.
Tanika: Go Asia, go Asia! Asia: I scored! Tanika: Let’s go, Asia, let’s go! The boys are only a bit ahead of us!
Meanwhile, Ethan and Danielle arrived as Asia and Tanika were leaving. Steven finally got his first goal. Derek was still trying. Ethan made a goal on his third try. Derek and Danielle were still there.
Paul: Esta bien? Banker: I will now count the money. Nadia looked at the banker and then Paul. Banker: This is correct. Here is your next clue.
Meanwhile, the second flight arrived and teams rushed to get taxis. All the teams quickly got cabs and raced to the Plaza de Cibeles.
Nick: I don’t speak Spanish. Gabrielle: I’m not athletic. We could probably use hand gestures while counting, can’t we? Nick: Doesn’t say we can’t. Okay, let’s do it. And we’ll decide our strategy beforehand.
Franz: Bank or Ball? Oh gosh, I really can’t play soccer. Chelsey: Bank. Franz: Bank!
Baylee: Bank or Ball? Christina: I don’t know. Baylee: Eddy and Jasmina speak Spanish, don’t they? Christina: You want to do it with them? Baylee: Let’s wait for them.
Heather: Bianca and I both speak Spanish, so we’re going to do Bank.
Don: Counting money? Valerie: That’ll be easy! And since we speak Spanish we should have an advantage over the other teams.
Eddy: Last one. Christina: Eddy, Jasmina! Can you work with us? Jasmina: For the Bank one? We were thinking of doing the Ball one. Baylee: If you do the Bank one, we can work together. Eddy: Wouldn’t we have to do it twice? Christina: If you help us out in the beginning, you can leave first. Just we know we won’t be able to do the other one, so we really need you. Eddy: I don’t... okay, well, let’s do it.
Mick and Justin arrived at the Museo Reina Sofia, followed closely by Asia and Tanika. Mick: Guernica? Guernica? Guide: That way. Mick: Thank you!
Asia: There, there are the boys, follow them.
Mick: Make your way to the Pit Stop, the Royal Palace of Madrid. Warning: The last team to arrive may be eliminated.
Tanika: Pit Stop, Asia, let’s go!
Paul: There’s the clue box, Nadia. Nadia: Pit Stop! We got to get a taxi.
Mick: We’re on the way to the Pit Stop! Justin: First, first, first, please first! Asia: Taxi, please pass those guys up there. We’re in a race!
A taxi stopped in front of the Royal Palace of Madrid and a team ran out. Another team came running close behind.
Phil: Mick & Justin… you are team number ONE! Justin: YES! Mick: Awesome way to start the race. Awesome!
Phil: Asia & Tanika, you are team number TWO. Asia: Not bad, but we’re not satisfied. Tanika: We’re gonna keep fighting until we get first, Phil.
Phil: Paul & Nadia, you are team number THREE. Nadia: Yes, we did it, baby!
Back at the stadium, Derek and Danielle were still trying to score. Ethan: Don’t get frustrated, Danielle, you can do it! Steven: Come on, Dad. Derek: I bet the second flight is here already. Steven: Don’t worry about them. Ethan & Danielle are still here. Ethan: Try kicking higher, Danielle. Danielle: Ethan, I’m so tired. Ethan: Don’t quit, Danielle, you can do it.
Meanwhile, all six teams were counting money. Some teams were counting in Spanish, while others were working quietly. Eddy & Jasmina quickly taught Baylee & Christina some Spanish so that they could communicate. Nick & Gabrielle were far ahead of the other teams, but lost their place and had to restart. Meanwhile, Don & Valerie were counting quickly and asked to be checked first.
Banker: That is correct. Don: YES!
Heather: Bueno? Banker: That is incorrect. Bianca: What? I don’t understand. Heather: Don’t worry, Bianca, just start over.
Banker: That is correct. Eddy: Girls, we got it. Thanks for the help. Do you think you can do it by yourselves now? Christina: Yes, thank you so much. Bye guys.
Back at the stadium, Danielle and Derek were still trying to score. Finally, Derek did. Steven: Thank you, Dad! Derek: Let’s get out of here! Danielle: Ethan, I’m sorry! Ethan: Don’t worry, Danielle. Keep trying.
Banker: That is incorrect. Gabrielle: No? Nick: Gabrielle, we need to talk. We need to think about what we’re doing first. Okay you do half a million and I make half a million and we put it together.
Banker: That is correct. Heather: Thank you! Bianca, let’s go! Bianca: Museo Reina Sofia… Guernica… that’s a painting. Heather: Hurry, we need to keep our lead, Bianca.
Banker: That is correct. Chelsey: What? We got it! Franz: AH! We got it! Chelsey: Oh my gosh, let’s get out of here!
Back at the stadium, Danielle was starting to get frustrated. Ethan continued to encourage his girlfriend as much as possible. Danielle finally stopped and took a two minute break before coming back in. Ethan: Go Danielle! Go! Danielle: I can do this… I can do this! She shot and made it in. Danielle: Yes! I did it! I did it Ethan! Ethan: Get the clue, Danielle, get the clue and let’s go! Oh God, I am so proud of you, girl!
At the museum, Don & Valerie were the first to arrive and found the clue. They were followed by Eddy & Jasmina. Steven & Derek came in as Eddy & Jasmina were leaving.
Derek: I told you the second flight was here. Steven: We’re still ahead of Ethan & Danielle. We still got a good shot.
Banker: That is correct. Baylee: Christina, let’s go. Christina: Thank you so much!
Banker: That is correct. Nick: We did it. Gabrielle: Last team out of here. Nick: We can still make it. Let’s hurry!
Phil: Don & Valerie. You are team number FOUR. Don: Four! Valerie: Wonderful!
Phil: Eddy & Jasmina, you are team number FIVE. Jasmina: We’ll take it, Phil! We’ll take it.
Phil: Derek & Steven. You are team number six. Are you disappointed? Steven: We’re kind of disappointed that teams from the second flight beat us. We just had trouble with the detour. But I’m proud of my dad, because he stuck with it… he did a good job out there.
Now all the teams were either heading to the museum or the Pit Stop. Heather: I really hope this is right. Pit Stop… I’m nervous. Bianca: I know, Heather… this traffic is scaring me so bad.
Phil: Franz & Chelsey. You are team number seven. Franz: What? Seriously? Chelsey: Yes! We’re still here, Franz! Franz: Yes!
Heather: Where is our taxi driver taking us? Bianca: I don’t know… Royal Palace of Madrid? Please? Taxi: Yes, I’m taking you there.
Phil: Baylee & Christina. Baylee: Yes? Phil: You are team number eight. Baylee: WHAT? Christina: Oh thank God! Hug!
Phil: Nick & Gabrielle. You are team number nine. Nick: What? How? Gabrielle: YES! We thought we were in last for sure… Phil: Well you’re still in the race. Gabrielle: Thank you, thank you!
Phil: Heather & Bianca… Bianca: We know, Phil. Phil: You are team number ten. Heather: Yes! Bianca: We thought for sure we’d be eliminated. We thought for sure we’d be gone. Heather: Crazy traffic. Bianca: And the detour was ridiculous. Heather: We restarted like five times. Phil: Well, you’re still in the race. Heather: Yeah… I feel so bad for the team that did worse than us right now. They must be having a horrible day to be doing worse than us.
Ethan: Pit Stop. Royal Palace of Madrid. Danielle: I’m really scared Ethan. I’m really scared. Ethan: Don’t worry, Danielle. Don’t worry about it.
Ethan: We’re here… come on, Danielle. Danielle: We’re here, Phil. Did you miss us? Hehe. Phil: Ethan & Danielle. Ethan: Yup? Phil: You are the last team to arrive. I’m sorry to tell you, you have been eliminated from the Race. Danielle starts crying. Danielle: I’m so sorry, Ethan. Phil: What’s wrong? Ethan: Oh, she had trouble with the Detour. But really I couldn’t be prouder of her. She didn’t quit and we finished and I guess we can’t really ask for much more than that. I wish we could’ve continued, but we had fun. We enjoyed ourselves. Danielle: I know this meant so much to him. And I feel like this is all my fault. Ethan: Don’t worry about it Danielle. We had fun. That’s all that matters. Phil: So what’s going to happen to you two now? Ethan: We’ll go back home to South Carolina and keep on living life the way we have before. We had a lot of fun meeting everyone and racing. And it did end too early, but somebody has to be first. I guess that was us today. Danielle: I’m so disappointed… so, so disappointed… but I’m grateful that we at least had the chance… and at least I have somebody like Ethan. He is worth far more than a million dollars to me.

Last time on MK’s Amazing Race, teams raced from Boston to Madrid, Spain. At the Detour, best friends Mick & Justin kicked their way to speedy success, while father and son Derek & Steven and dating couple Ethan & Danielle missed the mark. On the other side of the detour, brother and sister Eddy & Jasmina helped best friends Baylee & Christina count in Spanish, allowing them to finish the task more quickly. While Scrabble players Heather & Bianca ran into horrendous traffic on their way to the Pit Stop, Ethan & Danielle’s performance at the Detour proved their downfall and they were the first team eliminated. Who will be eliminated next?
INTRO VIDEO!
Mick and Justin arrived first on the last leg and are departing first on the second leg. Mick: Fly to Bern, Switzerland. Once there make your way to the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property, where you will find your next clue. Justin: Mick and I are confident about our ability to make it far in this race. So far, we’re pretty convinced that we’re the team to beat at this point.
Asia: Fly to Bern, Switzerland. Tanika: Switzerland! Asia: I ain’t never been to Switzerland, but I heard it’s beautiful!
Paul: Fly to Bern, Switzerland…. Nadia: Oh, I love Switzerland! Paul: Have you been there? Nadia: Not yet. I heard they have amazing chocolate. Wouldn’t that be awesome if there was a chocolate eating task? That would be so cool!
Mick: Hello, when is the next flight to Bern, Switzerland? Agent: The first flight will arrive at 9 AM and it connects through Berlin. Mick: Perfect. Give us that one.
Don & Valerie, Eddy & Jasmina, Derek & Steven, Franz & Chelsey also left the Pit Stop and the first seven teams to leave all got on the same flight arriving at 9 AM.
Baylee: Fly to Bern…
Nick: Once there make your way to the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property…
Bianca: Where you will receive your next clue. Heather: Okay, let’s go. Bianca: We know we’re in last right now, so we’re really going to be fighting hard this leg. We don’t want to go home. We have to stay in.
Jasmina: Hey, Eddy, the girls are here. Eddy: Baylee, Christina over here! Over here! Baylee: Hey guys, are all the teams on the same flight? Jasmina: Looks like it. Baylee: Can we get the same tickets they got? Thank you. Christina: We’re on! Eddy: Nick and Gabrielle are coming. So all the teams have showed up except for… Heather and Bianca.
Nick: Hello, what is the first flight to Bern? Agent: There is one arriving at 9 AM, but it’s full. Nick: What? What is the next flight? Agent: There is one direct and it arrives at 9:30 AM. Nick: We’ll take that one, and put us on the waiting list for the first flight. Gabrielle: Heather and Bianca just showed up. Bianca: Hey, what’s going on? Gabrielle: The flight is full. Bianca: What? Nick: We’re on the second flight. Heather: Oh my god… Gabrielle: But it’s only thirty minutes difference, we can make it up. Bianca: I hope so.
Flight number one arriving in Bern at 9 AM and connecting through Berlin carries Mick & Justin, Franz & Chelsey, Baylee & Christina, Don & Valerie, Asia & Tanika, Derek & Steven, and Eddy & Jasmina. Flight number two arriving at 9:30 AM carries Nick & Gabrielle and Heather & Bianca.
But then, disaster struck. Valerie: We just found out… that there is a huge storm going on and we are not going to be able to leave Berlin for about two hours. Asia: I hate losing a lead like this. This is so unfair…
Flight number two meanwhile arrives on schedule at 9:30 AM. The two teams hurried to get taxis and raced to the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property.
Heather: Hurry, we’re in a race. Bianca: We’re freaking out right now, because all the other teams have had a thirty minute head start on us and it’s just us and Nick and Gabrielle, so we’re really nervous right now. Nick: Go fast, please, go fast! Bianca: As much as we love Nick and Gabrielle, we need them eliminated and not us.
Heather: Here we are. Clue, clue! Bianca: Detour: Meet Einstein or Be Einstein. In Meet Einstein, teams will meet with a scientist outside the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property and pick a black and white photo of Albert Einstein. They will then make their way by foot to Eisteinhaus, the former residence of Albert Einstein. Once there, they will see 25 people dressed as Albert Einstein. They must find the person who matches the one in the photograph and turn in the photo to receive their next clue. If they are wrong, they will have to walk all the way back to receive a new picture. In Be Einstein, teams will have to enter the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property, the same place where Albert Einstein developed his Theory of Relativity, and solve a worksheet of five science questions. When they have answered the questions correctly, they will receive their next clue. Bianca: We’ll go with Be Einstein. Heather: Bianca is actually a science teacher, so we should be able to do this quickly.
Nick: Detour… Gabrielle: Well, Einstein was really smart and I’m not… I say we do Meet Einstein. Nick: Okay, let’s get our picture.
Heather: Here’s the worksheet. Bianca: Let me read it…. oh my gosh…. Heather: What? Bianca: These questions are so easy! Heather: Let me see… what direction will an apple fall if it drops from a tree? How fast does a car traveling 12 mph travel? Wait, maybe this is wrong. Are we doing the right sheet? Bianca: Let’s just try it first. I’ll just answer these and… can we get it checked? Scientist: Correct! Bianca: Oh my gosh! Thank you! Heather: That was so weird… Bianca: Make your way by foot to Kramgasse Street and take a marked car. Drive to the Lauterbrunnen Valley where you will follow a series of flags that will lead you to your next clue. Okay, let’s go.
Nick: Okay, we need to make sure that we are very careful, because I don’t want to walk back, especially since we’re so far behind. Gabrielle: There’s a second floor too Nick. Nick: Lookup there? I don’t think any of the people down here match our guy. Gabrielle: What about him? Nick: Wait, make sure you check everything in the picture, make sure it all matches. Gabrielle: I really think it’s him. Nick: No, not yet. We need to make sure we’re really right. Gabrielle: Do you want to go through every single person? Nick: Yes, actually, I do. Gabrielle: Nick, we’re wasting time. Nick: Maybe it’s somebody downstairs. Gabrielle: Nick… we need to make a decision! Here, just check him! I’m sure it’s him. Nick: Eh… fine. Let me see. Looks close, but I don’t know. Gabrielle: Nick, we need to take a chance on this. Nick: One time around. One time around. Gabrielle: No, Nick! Nick: I’m going one time around. We’re going to look at everybody first.
Heather: There, there’s the car. Bianca: Lauterbrunnen Valley… let’s ask for directions first… Heather: Lauterbrunnen? Lauterbrunnen? You know? No? Bianca: We need to stop somewhere and ask somebody, like a gas station. Heather: We should just get a map. Bianca: Yeah, let’s do that.
Nick: Not him. Not him. Not him. Gabrielle: Nick is determined to check everybody again… I think he’s making a big mistake, but I know better than to stop him.
Bianca: So we got our map and we’re on our way now. Heather: We haven’t seen Nick and Gabrielle anywhere, so we think we’re ahead of them but we’re not sure.
Nick: Not him. Gabrielle: Okay? Are you done? Nick: I think your guy is it. Gabrielle: Thank you. Give him the picture. Einstein: Hmm… yes, that’s me! Gabrielle: Thank you. Make your way by foot to Kramgasse Street… wait, aren’t we on Kramgasse Street right now? Nick: Yeah, we are. Let’s go.
Heather: Okay, right now, I’m 95% sure we’re going the right way. Bianca: This is good, Heather. We’re doing good. Don’t worry. We’re going to be okay.
Nick: Lauterbrunnen Valley? That way? Thank you. Gabrielle: We are on our way to the next clue… we don’t know where the girls are. Nick: I think I may have made a mistake, but it would have also been a mistake to make a decision too hastily. Gabrielle: I know that, but we could be in last place! We need to be taking risks to get ahead. Nick: Gabrielle, we don’t know for sure that we’re in last place. For all we know we could be in ninth.
Heather: There’s a flag there! Oh there’s a flag. Bianca: Follow it, follow it. Heather: I love this village we’re driving through, so beautiful… oh there’s the next flag… okay, bye village! Bianca: Keep going… A few minutes later, Heather and Bianca found the clue box in an open field with some sheep and shepherds. Heather: Roadblock – who’s feeling baaa’d? Bianca: I’ll do it.
In this Roadblock, team members must become shepherds and lead a flock of ten sheep from the starting line to a pen five hundred meters away. Each flock is marked with a colored flag and the flock must enter the pen that has the same colored flag hanging from it. Once the team member has led all the sheep to the pen, they will receive their next clue.
Bianca: Which ones should we pick? Heather: Take the orange ones. I like orange. Bianca: Wait, how are there still ten colors here? Heather: What…. OH MY GOSH ARE WE FIRST? Bianca: You think maybe something happened to the first flight? Heather: I have no idea, just… there’s no else here so just go! Go Bianca! Bianca: Come on sheep, follow me!
The next flight into Bern then arrived at 12 PM. They all got taxis and raced to the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property. Paul & Nadia arrived first, but all the other teams arrived within minutes of each other.
Paul: Meet Einstein or Be Einstein? Nadia: Neither of us are Einstein so I’d think we’d better meet him.
Asia: We’re going to do Meet Einstein.
Justin: Mick’s pretty smart so we’re going to look at the questions and if we can’t answer them we’re going to switch.
Valerie: I don’t know about the science one… Don: We’ll do Meet Einstein then.
Jasmina: Meet Einstein or Be Einstein? Christina: What should we do? Baylee: Science? I know science. Christina: Hey, let’s help Eddy & Jasmina since they helped us last time. Baylee: Okay. Eddy! Jasmina! Come work with us and we can share our answers.
Derek: What do you think about the Be Einstein one? Steven: I’m pretty good at science, but I don’t think it’ll be enough to answer the questions. Derek: Okay, let’s do Meet Einstein.
Franz: Meet Einstein or Be Einstein? Chelsey: Answer science questions? Franz: Seriously? Chelsey: Let’s do it! Franz: Chelsey and I are taking a science class in college right now, so we think… we think might be able to do this. We’re going to check it out first.
Mick and Justin arrived at the questions first. Justin: What do you think Mick? Mick: Wait… done. Justin: What? Scientist: That is correct. Mick: Hah, that was so easy! Justin: The other teams didn’t even get to walk in the door. Baylee: Hey boys. Justin: We can’t let the other teams do this one... Baylee: Okay, so we’re going to read the questions first. Eddy: Oh gosh, I could’ve answered these. Chelsey: Franz, come on. Justin: Okay, so maybe we’re a bit too late. Mick: Hey guys, if you see any of the other teams, tell them the questions were impossibly hard! Okay! Christina: Okay, good idea. Baylee: I’m done, Jasmina. Copy the answers. Chelsey: Oh gosh, Franz! These questions are embarrassingly easy! Scientist: That is correct… that is correct… Chelsey: Us? Scientist: That is correct. Franz: Alright, let’s go! Mick: Guys, let’s not travel as a group or the other teams will be suspicious that we all finished at once. Eddy: I know, let’s just say we need to do research before we can answer the questions. Mick: Great, let’s do that!
Nadia: There are a lot of Einsteins here. Paul: Let’s try this one. Is this you? Einstein: Ah, a very handsome man. But not me. Paul: Shoot! Let’s run back.
As Paul and Nadia were running back, they passed all seven other teams on their flight including the Be Einstein teams who were on their way to the cars.
Paul: What are you guys doing? I thought you were doing the other Detour? Eddy: It’s really hard. We need to drive around and find formulas and stuff and it’s written on buildings. Paul: Why don’t you just switch? Eddy: Are you kidding? Only people who want to lose the race switch Detours! Paul: Okay… weird. Justin: Oh my gosh, Eddy, you are my new hero. Eddy: Thanks. Jasmina: Baylee, Christina, let the other two teams drive off first. Let them go. Christina: Why? Jasmina: We have a map, shh. You’ll follow us.
Mick & Justin drove off, with Franz & Chelsey behind them. Franz: I see the boys, but where are the other two teams? Are they behind us? Chelsey: Maybe they can’t start their cars or something. Franz: Maybe Baylee sat on the hood and now they need to wait for a replacement vehicle. Chelsey: Ooh, burn. Franz: Oh yeah, baby.
Back at the Roadblock, Nick & Gabrielle had arrived and Gabrielle was doing the Roadblock. Bianca was nearly finished and Heather was cheering her on.
Nick: Heather… how are there still so many sets of sheep left? Heather: Flocks. And I don’t know. I don’t know what’s going on. Nick: You’re doing great, Gabrielle. Gabrielle: Okay, this isn’t too hard. Just need them to move a bit faster. Heather: Almost there, Bianca! Bianca: Come on, sheep, come on… done! Heather: Thank you, Bianca! Bianca: Clue, clue? Thank God. Heather: Let’s go! Bianca: Make your way to the Pit Stop, Gimmelwald Mountain Hostel. Warning: The last team to check in may be eliminated. Heather: So now we’re on our way to the Pit Stop. We know we are ahead of at least one team… so we’re hoping for the best, but we know anything is possible.
Back at the Meet Einstein task, teams were searching for the right Einstein.
Asia: Not you. Not you. Mhm, definitely not you. Don: Here, Valerie. I think I found him. Valerie: Looks good. Are you him? Einstein: Yes, that’s me! Valerie: Thank you! Asia: How did the oldies get him so fast?
Derek: What do you think son? Steven: We need to be very careful about this. Remember, we saw Paul and Nadia running back after getting it wrong. Derek: This man here. Steven: Let’s see. I think so. Try it. Einstein: Hmm… I’m sorry, that’s not me. Maybe my cousin, but not me. Steven: Dang it. Come on Dad, let’s hurry.
Paul: Back. Okay, new strategy. We don’t give our photo to the first person we see. Nadia: This guy has the same hair. Paul: Nadia, I think they all have the same hair.
Asia: Tanika, let’s try up here. Tanika: Oh, there’s a second floor. Asia: Hello all. Einsteins: Good day! Asia: Okay, that was creepy. Tanika: Oh, Asia, what about him? Asia: I think you’re right… is this you? Einstein: Oh… yes, I do declare that’s me! Asia: Thank you! Quick let’s get out of here!
Gabrielle: Eight… nine… ten… done! Shepherd: Here is your next clue! Nick: Gabrielle! YES! I love you! Gabrielle: Make your way to the Pit Stop! Nick: Let’s go!
Heather: Come on, Bianca! Phew! Phil: Heather & Bianca. Bianca: Yes, Phil? Phil: You are team number ONE. Heather: Oh my God! YES! Bianca: Hahaha! Phil: From last to first. Bianca: Not even just that. Heather: We thought we were last the whole time. Phil: The first flight was delayed for about two hours. Bianca: Oh my gosh, we were saved by not being on that flight then. Heather: First place, Bianca! First place! Bianca: Yes!
Phil: Nick & Gabrielle… you are team number TWO. Gabrielle: No way! No way! Nick: Second! Phil: The first flight was delayed. Gabrielle: That’s crazy! Crazy! Nick: So happy right now Phil. So happy!
Mick & Justin and Franz & Chelsey continued on their way, but had to stop repeatedly to ask for directions. Meanwhile, Eddy & Jasmina led Baylee & Christina to the clue box.
Jasmina: Who’s feeling baaaa’d? Me. Christina: I’ll take the Roadblock, Baylee.
Eddy: So.. it’s Jasmina and Christina! Baylee: Hey that rhymes. Eddy: Yup… and Eddy and Baylee rhymes too. Baylee: No! You’re right. Oh gosh, Eddy, you are so smart.
Jasmina: Christina, I got an idea. Don’t start yet. Christina: What? Jasmina: Choose two pens that are next to each other and then we’ll go there as a group and then separate at the end. Christina: Oh! Okay! Let’s do that. How about… yellow and purple?
Eddy: Look, Baylee… there are two pens already finished. I bet that was, um, Nick & Gabrielle and Heather & Bianca. Baylee: But only two teams finished ahead of us, so we are doing great then.
Nadia: Is this you? Einstein: Nope. But I like his style. Paul: Let’s go back.
Steven: I don’t understand, I don’t think any of these people are him. Derek: Well, try the one you think is closest. Steven: Alright. Einstein: Sorry. This isn’t me. Steven: This sucks!
Back at the Roadblock, Mick & Justin arrived. Mick: Whoa, Edmina and Baytina are already here. Justin: Roadblock… Mick: If it’s doing the thing with the sheep, you should do it Justin. You’re the calm one. Justin: Alright.
Jasmina: Now you get your sheep over there. Christina: Okay. Jasmina: Beautiful. We’re doing it. Christina: I’m done. Jasmina: Just a minute…. Help me out here. Christina: Got it. Baylee: Good job Christina! Good job Jasmina! Shepherd: Here is your clue and here is your clue. Christina and Jasmina ran back and met their partners. Eddy: Pit Stop. Okay, follow us again girls and we’ll go there. Christina: Thank you so much you guys.
Justin: Mick! Mick: What? Justin: I have a problem! Mick: What is it? Justin: One of my sheep is missing. Mick: How is your sheep missing? Justin: I don’t know. I only have nine now. Mick: Oh dear God, Justin. Justin: I’ll find it, don’t worry. Mick: JUSTIN! It’s an OPEN FIELD! How could you lose a sheep in an open field? Justin: I think it’s back at the start. Do you see it? Mick: What color did you pick? Justin: Blue. Mick: I’ll look for it. Just stay there and don’t lose anymore sheep.
While Mick was looking for the missing sheep, Franz & Chelsey arrived, followed by Asia & Tanika and Don & Valerie.
Justin: I’m sorry, Mick, I don’t know what’s happened! Mick: Justin was supposed to do the Roadblock… but now it feels like I’m doing the Roadblock… Justin: Wait! Wait, Mick! Look, that sheep next to the flag! Is that ours? Mick: Just a minute… Justin: Please be it, please be it… Mick: It’s blue! Justin: Crap! Now I have to go all the way over there! Mick: Justin! Don’t come back! Put the other sheep in first and then come back and pick him up. Go! Justin: Right! Okay, I’m going.
Franz: Who’s feeling baaa’d? Oh, that is so me. Tanika: Who’s feeling baaa’d? Asia: I’ll do it. Valerie: I’ll take the Roadblock honey.
Franz, Asia, and Valerie each chose a flock and began leading them. Asia was in the lead, but then her sheep stopped and began moving towards Franz’s sheep. Asia’s flock was so totally co-mingled with Franz’s and was following Franz entirely.
Asia: What the-? Franz, what are you doing? Franz: I didn’t do anything. Asia: Franz, get your sheep away from my sheep. Franz: Get them out yourself. Asia: Excuse me? Franz: I don’t give a rip about your sheep, Asia. You can get your own fricking sheep out of there. If they want to follow me, that’s not my problem. If I was a sheep, I’d be following me too. Asia: Franz… give me my effing sheep! Tanika: FRANZ! FRANZ, what are you doing? Franz, you’re cheating and you know it. Franz: I didn’t do anything, Tanika! You shut up! Asia: Excuse me, you do not tell my sister to shut up. Franz: Oh God, this is a waste of my time. Just… I’m not listening to you anymore… Asia: Franz, you give me my ________ sheep or there will be hell to pay! Franz: La, la, la, la, la, la…. Asia: OH MY GOD, FRANZ! Tanika: FRANZ! FRANZ! You s__of a b____, Franz! Chelsey: Oh my gosh, this is hilarious…
Valerie: Done! Shepherd: Congratulations, here is your next clue. Valerie: Thank you!
Franz: Okay, get in there sheep. Asia: Franz! Franz, now what the hell are you doing? Franz: I’m putting my sheep in my pen. Asia: You’re putting your sheep and MY sheep in your pen! Franz: Done… am I done? Shepherd: Yes, you are done. Franz: Thank you. Asia: FRANZ!! FRANZ COME BACK HERE AND GET MY F_______ SHEEP OUT OF YOUR F________ PEN! Chelsey: Come on, Franz! Let’s go! Tanika: Oh my God, Franz, you are low! You are SLIME! Franz: Love you too, Tanika. Pit Stop, Chelsey, let’s go!
Justin: Finally got him back. Shepherd: Here is your next clue. Justin: Thank you! Mick: Good job Justin!
Asia: Gotta get these effing sheep out of Franz’s effing pen, that little bastard… Tanika: Franz totally cheated at the Roadblock… hopefully Phil is going to slap that boy with a big-time penalty.
Phil: Eddy & Jasmina, you are team number three. Baylee & Christina, you are team number four. Christina: Love it. Phil: Were you two teams helping each other? Jasmina: We worked together on the Roadblock. It went much faster that way. Phil: But you do realize it is a race right? You can’t both win. Baylee: Yeah, we both know that… but I’ll think we’re going to stay together as long as we can, because like my mom used to say… two heads are better than one… so four heads ought to be better than two.
Phil: Don & Valerie, you are team number five. Valerie: Phew! See what happens when you don’t argue? Phil: What’s this? Valerie: Asia and Franz got into a fight, but I just kept on going and I finished before both of them. Phil: I see. Good on you for staying focused. Valerie: Thank you Phil!
Phil: Mick & Justin, you are team number six. Justin: Alright. Sorry. Mick: It’s okay, we’re still in it. Justin: My fault. Totally my fault.
Phil: Franz & Chelsey, you are team number seven. Chelsey: Wooo! Franz: Oh yeah! Phil: Now Franz I heard about something happening in the Roadblock. Franz: Asia’s sheep started following me and she got mad, but I wasn’t going to be intimidated by her. Girl has issues. Phil: Well you are still in the race. How do you feel? Franz: Amazing! So awesome being here in Switzerland. Beautiful place. Lovely.
Back at the Detour… Steven: Are you him? Einstein: No… sorry. Derek: This is crazy! None of these people are him! Nadia: Are you him? Einstein: Yes, that’s me! Paul: YES! Nadia, I love you! Steven: Dad, this is crazy, let’s just switch. Derek: Okay, fine. Let’s try the other detour. Paul: We got one team behind us… we need to kill at the Roadblock to stay in the lead.
Asia: Stupid sheep… stupid sheep! Tanika: You can do it Tanika! Asia: Franz, I hate you!
Derek: Okay, let’s do the questions… Steven: Oh my god! Oh my god Dad! These questions are so EASY! Oh my god! We should’ve done this first, we wasted so much time! Here, check the answers. Scientist: That is correct. Steven: Ah… this sucks! Derek: At least we’ve finally done it. Let’s just go.
Phil: Asia & Tanika, you are team number eight. Asia: Shouldn’t be… shouldn’t be. Phil: I understand something happened at the Roadblock? Asia: Franz was messing with my sheep. Phil: He says they just followed him. Asia: Of course he'd say that. Tanika: Boy is slime. The girl's no better, just standing there laughing at us. Asia: We're just going to do our best from now on... and I have no doubt that our best is better than their best. No question in my mind...
At the Roadblock, Paul did the sheepherding for the team. Derek and Steven arrived just as Paul was finishing. Derek decided to do the Roadblock, with Steven encouraging him.
Paul: Gimmelwald Mountain Hostel? Where is that? Nadia: No idea… Paul: Find somebody, we got to find out quick.
Steven: Come on, Dad! Come on….
Nadia: Gimmelwald? Gimmelwald? No?
Derek: Done. Shepherd: Here is your next clue. Steven: Come on Dad! Run!
Paul: Gimmelwald is that way? Okay, thank you. Come on Nadia! Get back in the car!
Steven: Pit Stop. Gimmelwald Mountain Hostel… Derek: Okay, let’s move.
Nadia: Are we going the right way? Maybe we made a wrong turn. Paul: No, this is good. This is right. Nadia: How do you know? Paul: I don’t. Nadia: Oh God… Paul: But I feel it! I really feel it.
Derek: We are in trouble... trouble, trouble, trouble…
A car drove up to the Gimmelwald Mountain Hostel and a team ran out.
Paul: Come on Nadia! Nadia: Coming… oh…phew… hi Phil. Phil: Paul and Nadia…. Nadia: We’re ready for it… Phil: You are team number nine. Nadia: Oh God! I love you Paul so much! Paul: We’re still here! Oh yes!
Later on, Derek & Steven finally arrived…
Phil: Derek and Steven… you are the last team to arrive. Steven: We figured. Phil: I’m sorry to tell you you have been eliminated from the Race. Steven: Huh…. Sucks. Derek: We just made a bunch of bad decisions. Steven: We shouldn’t have been so dumb with the detour. Phil: You couldn’t find your Einstein? Steven: No. Phil: He was on the second floor of the house. Derek: OH! Steven: We didn’t even know there was a second floor. We must’ve really been out of it today.
Steven: I still think our team is better than… tenth place. But… we had a bad day and we made stupid decisions… and that’s all it takes to lose this race. Derek: But we’re still proud of ourselves as a team and I’m still leaving this race was the best son in the world… just now we have some good memories together. Steven: Love you, Dad. Derek: Love you too.

I hope to work on Episode Three today (I have it planned already, just need to write it.) But I just wanted to say that I realize that I don't have episode titles... so here are what they are for the episodes up so far.
1. "They Must Be Having a Horrible Day to Be Doing Worse Than Us." ~ Heather 2. "I Don't Give a Rip About Your Sheep, Asia." ~ Franz

Last time on MK’s Amazing Race, teams raced from Madrid and ended the leg in the small village of Gimmelwald in Switzerland. At the start of the leg, it looked like Scrabble players Heather & Bianca and married couple Nick & Gabrielle were headed for disaster when they were the only two teams stuck on the last flight. However, the other flight ended up facing a huge delay in a connecting city, shooting the two teams into first and second place. While Jasmina and Christina worked together to finish a Roadblock, Franz and Asia ended up getting into a huge fight after Asia’s sheep inexplicably began to follow Franz instead of her. In the end, it was father and son team Derek and Steven who were last to arrive. Who will be eliminated next?
INTRO VIDEO! Heather & Bianca, who were the first to arrive on the second leg, will depart first on the third leg.
Heather: Fly to Kabul, Afghanistan from Bern Airport. Every team has already been booked on the same flight, scheduled to arrive at 7 AM. Once you arrive at Kabul International Airport, locate the bus terminal where you will sign up for one of three charter buses to Bagh-e Babur, where you will find your next clue. Bianca: We’re going to Afghanistan, Heather… that’s wild! Heather: Bianca and I are kind of disappointed to be losing our lead, since we’re all going to be on the same flight for sure. But we think we can handle ourselves even without it.
Nick: Fly to Kabul, Afghanistan from Bern Airport… Gabrielle: Nick and I are both quite different, so we really are trying to learn how to communicate and work together. We know that any misstep in communication could end up costing us the race.
Jasmina: Fly to Kabul, Afghanistan… Christina: Every team has already been booked on the same flight… Valerie: ….sign up for one of three charter buses to Bagh-e Babur. Don: Sounds fun!
Mick: Ready, bro? Justin: Open it. Mick: Fly to Kabul, Afghanistan… Justin: Oh dear God, please no. Mick: Hey, it’s for the Race. You can do it. Justin: Yeah, I know. I just would rather not go there. On the road to Bern, Mick and Justin talked about Justin’s feelings about visiting Afghanistan. Mick: Justin’s older brother was killed by an IED three years ago during the Iraq War. For a long time, he was really torn up about it… he had these really scary mood swings, where he would get really mad, and then he’d be extremely depressed. He’s been working through it all, but he still has some issues. So for him to go to the Middle East is a big deal for him. And I know that he’s really uncomfortable with this, but I know Justin and I know that he’s going to take this and grow with it. I believe in him. Justin: I’m just scared. Like, I seriously think I could die if I go there. Mick: You’re not going to die, Justin. Just breathe and think positive. Justin: Yeah, you’re right. You’re right. Franz: Fly to Kabul… Chelsey: We’re feeling okay about our performance so far in the race… I feel like Franz and I have been working as a team, so I’d say it’s only a matter of time before we move up.
Asia: Fly to Kabul, Afghanistan. Tanika: We’re not really worried about Franz & Chelsey. We just don’t like them. At all. But we’re not going to be thinking too hard about them, you know? We’re going to stay focused on us.
Nadia: Fly to Kabul… Paul: We are in last place right now. We had a terrible leg. But we’re going to really push it this leg and we think we’ll be able to make it.
At the Bern Airport, while teams were waiting for the flight, Don & Valerie and Mick & Justin met and talked about the other teams over dinner. Don: Val and I have a nickname for Franz & Chelsey. Mick: Oh yeah? Valerie: We call them ’The Kids’, because they’re the youngest team. Don: And also because… Justin: They act like little kids… Don: Hah, you got it! Mick: We have nickname for Eddy & Jasmina and Baylee & Christina. We call them Edmina and Baytina. Valerie: Hah, that’s good! We’re going to call you the boys now, since you’re the only all-male team left in the race. Mick: Why the boys? We should be called the men! Don: Hahaha… you guys are fantastic.
Don: We really enjoy Mick & Justin. They’re our favorite team on the race right now. They’re just good people, real… we like that. Justin: Don & Valerie. They are wonderful. Uh… we’re not really working together. But we do like them a lot. So if we end up leaving them behind somewhere, we’ll feel bad about it… but it’s a race, so I imagine we’ll get over it pretty quick.
All teams arrived in Kabul International Airport at 7 AM and began searching for the bus terminal. Paul & Nadia were the first to reach it and signed up for the first bus leaving at 7:45 AM. Mick & Justin were second, followed by Eddy & Jasmina.
Jasmina: That’s it! First bus is full. Mick: Alright! Sweet. Eddy: Jasmina, I just realized the girls aren’t on our bus. Jasmina: Oh… well, it’ll be okay. It’s a race anyway. Eddy: Yeah. Justin: I wonder who’ll be next to show up. Paul: They should be coming any minute now. This place wasn’t that hard to find.
The teams sat on benches looking around to see where the next team was coming from.
Mick: And it is… Justin: Franz and Chelsey... Franz: We made it! Chelsey: Second bus!
Franz & Chelsey were followed by Nick & Gabrielle. There was now only one spot left on the second bus.
Nick: So who do you think will be coming next? Nadia: I bet it’ll be Heather & Bianca. Mick: Well, we’re hoping it’s Don & Valerie. Chelsey: Any team except for Asia & Tanika and we’ll be thrilled. Jasmina: I wanted Baylee & Christina to come next, but I didn’t say it… because I knew some of the teams were not happy that we were working together. So I just didn’t say anything about it.
Two teams soon came running towards the bus terminal, one a bit in front of the other. It was Don & Valerie with Heather & Bianca trailing, but gaining ground. They overtook Valerie, but it proved to be too little too late for the girls though as Don grabbed the pen and signed up before the girls could get there. Don: Don and Valerie! We made it on, honey. Heather: I can’t believe we got beat in a footrace by the oldies. That’s just messed up. Bianca: Last bus.
Baylee & Christina arrived next, with Asia & Tanika being the last team to show up. Asia: Well, we’re kind of upset that we’re last to get here. But at least we’re not on Franz and Chelsey’s bus, that’s all I can say about that. Baylee: We’ve been teaming up with Eddy & Jasmina for the last two legs and now we’re separated from them. I think it’ll be harder without them, because they helped us a lot, but we’re a good team, I think, so we’ll be okay.
The first bus carrying Paul & Nadia, Mick & Justin, and Eddy & Jasmina arrived at Bagh-e Babur. Paul & Nadia raced to the cluebox. Paul: Search Bagh-e Babur for the tomb of Babur, the first Mughal emperor, where you will receive your next clue. The teams ran off looking for the tomb. Eddy & Jasmina were the first to find it and found the next clue box. Eddy: Make your way to Emergency Hospital, a hospital offering free medical care to emergency patients. Enter the waiting room of the hospital where you will find your next clue.
Eddy & Jasmina were able to get a taxi and were soon on their way to the next clue box. Paul & Nadia and a few minutes later, Mick and Justin, also found the clue. All the teams were now on their way to the hospital.
Eddy & Jasmina arrived at Emergency Hospital first and told their taxi to wait for them. Jasmina: Arriving at the hospital was very… interesting… because there were people waiting outside the hospital who also had injuries… and people inside who were really in need of care. And you know, no matter where you are in the world, there are people who need help. Eddy received the next clue. Eddy: Travel by taxi to Kabul Golf Course where you will search for your next clue. Jasmina: That was really something. Eddy: Yeah. It was.
Paul & Nadia also got their clue and left for the Kabul Golf Course. Mick & Justin also went in next, but Justin didn’t want to leave right away. Justin: I saw a boy there who was missing an arm and it struck me because he was so young, but I could see that he had already suffered so much. And he was just kind of looking at me and I was looking back at him… so I had to stop there and give him a hug. Yeah, there was still a race going on, but he was just a kid and I could see that he needed somebody to love him, so I did. Mick: So proud of you, Justin. That was awesome. Justin: Make your way to Kabul Golf Course where you will search for your next clue.
The second bus departed and arrived at Bagh-e Babur. Franz & Chelsey, Nick & Gabrielle, and Don & Valerie searched for the tomb. Don & Valerie found it first and left right away. Franz & Chelsey and Nick & Gabrielle meanwhile were totally lost. Nick: We’re not sure why we haven’t been able to find this. Gabrielle: We have people telling us to go somewhere… and it’s not there. Franz: Hey, I think we should just find a map or something. Nick: Yeah, this is stupid. Let’s do that. After the teams found a map of the area, they were able to track down the location of the tomb and pick up clues. However, by then the third bus carrying Heather & Bianca, Baylee & Christina, and Asia & Tanika had already arrived. Nick: Any lead we had over the third bus is slowly slipping away from us now while we sit here waiting for a taxi to show up. Franz: Hey! Hey wait a minute! Duh! We don’t need to take a taxi. Let’s just take the bus back into Kabul and have him drop us off there. Nick: Great, let’s do that! Nick and Franz went and talked with the bus driver and were able to convince him to drop them off near Emergency Hospital for a good amount of money. Nick: Thank you so much. Franz: We are brilliant!
Eddy & Jasmina arrived at the golf course and after a bit of searching found the next clue. Eddy: Detour: Horse Play or Minesweeper In Horse Play, teams participate in the national sport of Afghanistan, the brutal buzkashi – a no-holds barred game were horse riders pick up a headless goat carcass and attempt to maintain control of it in order to score points. In this version of the game, both team members will mount horses and face off against another buzkashi team. The team members must reach down and pull the goat carcass out of its hole and then, while maintaining control of the carcass, ride around a pole and then return to their starting circle. The other buzkashi team will be using whatever tactics necessary to cause the other team to lose control of the carcass. Only the strong-willed and physically fit will be able to keep trying until they find success. In Minesweeper, teams will arm and then disarm landmines. First they will learn how to arm a landmine. After arming their mine, the team must place it properly in the ground. When that’s completed, they will then disarm a mine. They will choose a plot of field and use a mine detector to locate a mine. Then they will remove it from the ground and disarm it. Teams will wear a sensor on their wrist – if the sensor turns red, it means they have activated a mine, something that may have killed them in a real-life scenario. If this happens, they will have to start the disarming task over in a new plot of land. After returning the disarmed mine to the soldier, they will receive their next clue. Eddy: I saw we do Minesweeper. The horse thing sounds ridiculous. Jasmina: Okay, let’s go.
Eddy & Jasmina arrived at the Minesweeper task and took to arming their first landmine. Then Jasmina dug a hole and they planted it in the ground. They then put on the sensors to attempt the second part of the task. Jasmina: So the detector is going to make a noise or something? Eddy: Yeah. Be careful. Jasmina: There is a lot of ground to cover. Eddy: Yeah, but go slow anyway. Jasmina: I think I might be close to one. Eddy: Okay, well.. oh shoot, my sensor went off. Soldier: Start over! Jasmina: What? But you didn’t even hear anything? Eddy: I know… that’s so weird. Soldier: Not all the mines can be found with the mine detector. Jasmina: What? That’s insane! Eddy: Never mind, Jasmina, let’s just pick a new plot.
Paul & Nadia were next to arrive and also chose Minesweeper. Mick & Justin arrived next and chose Horse Play. Mick & Justin ran to the buzkashi field and mounted the horses. Mick rode towards the pit with the goat carcass and picked it up. However, the other team began to cause trouble. One rider rode straight towards Mick, scaring his horse, and knocking him to the ground. Justin: Mick! Are you okay? Mick: Yeah, Justin… I think we should switch. This is dangerous. Justin: What? Mick: I know this might be faster, but I seriously think if we stay here too long, we might get injured. Justin: Fine. We’ll go do the other one. Mick & Justin ran to meet the other two teams who were still looking for a mine. Mick & Justin armed their mine and planted it successfully. Then they began searching for the mine. Justin: So… it could be anywhere… Mick: Yeah, just be careful. Justin: Mick? Mick: Yeah? Justin: I don’t like this. My hands are shaking like crazy. Mick: You can do it. Justin: Okay… okay… oh my God! Mick: Justin, are you okay? Soldier: START OVER! Justin: Oh my God! Oh my God, Mick… it went off… why did it go off? Soldier: Not all the mines can be found with the detector. Justin: Mick, I don’t want to do this! I want to switch. Oh my God, Mick, I feel like I’m going to pass out. At this point, Justin started hyperventilating and tears started streaming down his face. Justin: Mick, I can’t do this anymore! Okay! I just want to get out of this _______country. Mick: Justin, breathe… okay… they’re not real mines. Eddy: What’s wrong? Mick: Justin’s brother was killed by an explosive... Justin: Don’t say that! Oh my God! Mick: Justin, they’re not real explosives. Justin: I need water. God, I need water… Mick: Justin, come back! Justin: Mick, I’m sorry, I’m really sorry but I’m freaking out. I need to get out of here now. Mick: Justin, please, just come back! Jasmina: Are they going to quit? Eddy: I don’t know. Mick: Justin… Justin: I want to switch back. Can we switch back? Mick: Will you calm down if we switch back? Justin: Maybe. Mick: Justin… just breathe okay. We’ll switch back. Justin: Okay. Okay. Mick: Are you really okay? Justin: Yeah… yeah, I’m okay. I’ll be okay. Mick: Okay, we’re switching back. Let’s go.
Mick & Justin left and after they were gone, Eddy & Jasmina found a mine. Very carefully they went to disarm it. After doing so successfully, they were given their next clue. Eddy: Travel by taxi to Herat Restaurant where you will receive your next clue.
After having to start over three times, Paul & Nadia were also able to find their clue and they also raced to the restaurant.
Don & Valerie arrived at Emergency Hospital and picked up their next clue. A few minutes after, Franz & Chelsey and Nick & Gabrielle’s bus dropped them off and the two ran inside to grab their clue. They ran out and began looking for a taxi. Gabrielle: It’s kind of too bad that we weren’t able to really appreciate being in the hospital, but we’re in a race right now… so we have to rush through things we wouldn’t have rushed through in different circumstances. Nick: I really hope that we get a taxi before Franz & Chelsey do. Franz: Taxi! Chelsey, come on! Taxi! Nick: Ah, too late… Franz: Kabul Golf Course, thank you! Gabrielle: There! There’s a taxi. Stop him. Nick: Taxi! Taxi! Thank you! Gabrielle: Kabul Golf Course, please! Hurry, we’re in a race!
The last three teams soon arrived at Emergency Hospital. Baylee & Christina were first and told their cab to wait. They rushed in and rushed out. Asia & Tanika did the same. Heather & Bianca however took a bit of time to give hugs to some of the children there before leaving. Heather: Seeing those kinds of situations really makes you rethink what you’re living your life for, you know? How can I justify going after all these things when there are people out there who are in such great suffering? That’s what I really got out of that experience.
Mick & Justin arrived at the Horse Play detour and tried again. It played out like it did before, except this time Justin’s horse wasn’t even moving. Mick was knocked off, but got back on. The two restarted, but Justin was still barely moving at all, with Mick getting chased and attacked by the other two riders. One reached out and grabbed the carcass out of Mick’s hand, forcing him to start over. Mick: JUSTIN! JUSTIN, DO SOMETHING! Justin: I’m sorry. Mick: Okay, stop. Mick got off his horse and ran towards where Justin was. Mick: You said you’d be okay with this. Justin: I know. Mick: I can’t do this by myself. I don’t think this detour is even possible if you’re not going to help me. Justin: I’m sorry. Mick: Well, if you’re not going to help me, then we have to go back. We’re losing time here. Justin: I don’t want to go back. Mick: Okay, you know what will happen? Since you refuse to do anything, what will happen is I will go back and do the Mine detour by myself. And you will sit there and you will not be a problem. Okay? Justin: Okay. Mick: You won’t have to do anything. Okay? Justin: Yeah… okay… we can switch then.
Don: Detour… Horse Play or Minesweeper. Valerie: Minesweeper…. The other one sounds crazy.
Don & Valerie headed to the Minesweeper place where they found Mick searching for mines while Justin sat in the shade. Valerie greeted them, but neither of the two said anything back. Soon Don & Valerie began searching for the mine they needed to disarm. Don: Mick, what’s wrong? Mick: Oh, Justin’s not doing anything because he’s afraid he’s going to explode. Justin: Shut up, Mick! Oh my God… Justin stood up and began walking off, away from the Minesweeper field. Valerie: Are you going to stop him? Mick: No, I have to find this mine first. Valerie: He looks really upset. Mick: I know. But we’re not talking to each other right now…. By the way, you should be careful, since some of the mines are not detectable. Don: I see. Thanks. Valerie: Oh, Don, I found one! Don: Okay, disarm it! Valerie: Aren’t you going to help me? Don: I don’t think I’m going to move, Valerie. I might step on a mine on the way over there. Valerie: Oh. Okay, good thinking. Valerie successfully disarmed the mine herself and returned it to the soldier. They were then handed their next clue. Mick: Probably should've kept that to myself, but oh well...
Chelsey: Horse Play or Minesweeper? Franz: I’m not touchin’ no dead goat carcass! Chelsey: Minesweeper it is then! Franz & Chelsey ran to Minesweeper and found Mick searching alone. Nick & Gabrielle initially chose Horse Play, tried it once, failed, and immediately switched to Minesweeper. Gabrielle: We thought it’d just be horses, but no, it was horses that could KILL you. Nick: While we think we might have been able to do it eventually, we don’t want to risk getting hurt in the race, so we’re not doing that detour anymore.
Eddy & Jasmina arrived at the Herat restaurant and found their next clue. Jasmina: Who’s worked up an appetite? Eddy: I’ll do it. In this Roadblock, one team must eat a platter of Afghanistan’s national food - qabili pilau, a dish made of basmati mixed with meat and vegetables. Once the team member has eaten the whole platter, they will receive their next clue. Eddy & Jasmina entered the restaurant. Eddy took a seat at the long table where the team members would be eating and started the task. Eddy: The food tasted fine. The problem was there was just so much of it. There was like a seven-inch high mountain of rice on my plate. Jasmina: Are you okay, Eddy? Eddy: I’m doing it. I’m going to do it. Jasmina: Good job, Eddy!
Paul: Who’s worked up an appetite? Well, I took the last one. Nadia: Okay, I’ll do this one. Paul & Nadia walked in and Nadia took her seat. Nadia: Paul… this is a lot of food. Paul: I know, but have to eat it. You can do it. Nadia: Okay…
Eddy and Nadia were the only people eating for a while. Eddy made good progress, but had to stop to take a break. Nadia did the same, but after eating only a small bit of the food.
Paul: Nadia, you’re eating really slow. Can you go faster? Nadia: This isn’t easy, Paul. Paul: Sorry. I’ll just shut up now.
Meanwhile, the three teams still at the Minesweeper detour failed repeatedly, allowing the other teams time to catch up.
Baylee: Detour: Horse Play or Minesweeper? Christina: Minesweeper.
Tanika: We’re going to do Horse Play.
Heather: The Minesweeper one sounds like a puzzle. We’re pretty good at puzzles. Bianca: Right, let’s do that one.
Baylee & Christina ran to the field and started working on the Minesweeper task. Soon they joined the others searching the plots. Heather & Bianca were only minutes behind. Christina: Hey Mick, where’s Justin? Mick: I don’t know, don’t talk to me. Christina: Okay then.
Franz: Found one! Chelsey, don’t move anymore, okay? We seem to have to start over whenever you move. Chelsey: Hey! Well, actually, yeah, you’re kinda right. Franz: DONE! Let’s go Chelsey.
Nick: Gabrielle, I got… Soldier: START OVER! Gabrielle: What? Who set it off? Nick? Nick: Oh, shoot I stepped on it right after I found it. Sorry, Gabrielle.
Heather: Bianca! Bianca! Bianca: What? Heather: Don’t move, I’m going to do it… ah, I got it! Bianca: Woo! Let’s go, Heather!
Mick: Okay, finally… FINALLY… did it. Soldier: Here is your next clue. Mick: Now I just have to find where Justin went and I can pretend like this day never existed.
At the Horse Play detour, Asia & Tanika showed how tough they were. While they were knocked off their horses and had to restart five times, they didn’t give up. Tanika was able to distract and harass the other riders, while Asia controlled the goat and managed to make it all the way to the end. The other two riders clapped for the girls’ strength and perseverance after they finished and received their next clue.
Don: Who’s worked up an appetite? Valerie: Well, it’s going to be an eating challenge, but we don’t know what we’re eating. I usually fare better with different kinds of foods, so I’ll do this one. Valerie entered to find Eddy and Nadia still eating. Valerie: Wow, we really caught up. Don: Take as long as you need honey. We still have teams behind us.
Nadia: Paul, this is really hard… Paul: Keep going Nadia…
Jasmina: Come on, Eddy… Eddy: We’ll be out of here soon, Jasmina. Don’t worry.
Back at the Kabul Golf Course, Mick was still trying to find where Justin went. Finally, he found him at the main entrance. Mick: Why did you run off like that? Justin: I know. I felt horrible after a while, but I didn’t want to- Mick: Justin, don’t talk to me right now. Let’s just get out of here.
Nick & Gabrielle finally finished the Detour, leaving Baylee & Christina as the last team trying to disarm a mine. After a few more tries, they managed to get one, but were about ten minutes behind Nick & Gabrielle.
Franz & Chelsey arrived at Herat and Chelsey elected to do the Roadblock. Franz: Whoa, the first bus people are still here! Go Chelsey. Chelsey: That is a lot of food. And ugh… it looks like a pile of maggots! Nadia: Oh god! Nadia immediately grabbed a bucket and threw up. Paul: Chelsey! Shut up! Chelsey: What? It looks like maggots! I can say what I think it looks like. Valerie: Chelsey, you’re being really rude to the Afghani people by insulting their food and you’re making Nadia sick. This is really hard for her. Chelsey: Eh… I don’t really care. Just shut up, Valerie, and let me eat my food. Valerie shook her head and just went on eating. Nadia: Paul, can I lie down? Paul: Okay, do you need water? Nadia: Yes, please.
Heather: Who’s worked up an appetite? Bianca: I’ll do it.
After Bianca started eating, Eddy was able to finish and picked up the clue. Eddy: Travel by taxi to the Pit Stop, Darul Aman Palace. Warning: The last team to arrive may be eliminated. Jasmina: Eddy, you are like a hero! Did you see how much everyone else had left? Eddy: That was insane. Can’t believe I did that. Jasmina: You feel okay? Eddy: Nope. Jasmina: Hah, I love you, Eddy. Eddy: No, I’m serious. I really don’t feel okay. Jasmina: Well, I still love you anyway. Eddy: Great, now help me find a taxi.
Mick & Justin arrived next with Asia & Tanika coming a few minutes after. Mick chose to do the Roadblock so that Justin wouldn’t have to do anything once more, while Tanika did it for her team. Don & Valerie then finished, followed by Franz & Chelsey.
Heather: Teams are leaving, B… eat faster! Bianca: I’m going as fast as I can, this is hard! Stop talking to me! Heather: Okay.
Nick & Gabrielle arrived next. Gabrielle: Who’s worked up an appetite? Nick: Oh, I’m going to do it. Gabrielle: Nick is like a whale when it comes to food. I have full confidence in him.
Nick sat down at the table. Gabrielle: Nick, there are still teams here! We can pass them. Nick: I know we can pass them. I know we can pass them. We can pass them. Heather: See, Bianca? See Nick? Eat like Nick! Bianca: I can’t eat like him! Are you kidding me? He’s like shoveling it into his mouth! Mick: Oh – Nick – I’m getting sick just watching you. Nadia: OH! Sick! Nadia vomited again.
Eddy: This is it, stop here please! Jasmina: Thank you so much!
Phil: Eddy and Jasmina… you are team number ONE! Eddy: YES! Phil: What do you think was the key to your success this leg? Eddy: Well, we just worked as a team… and I just kept eating and eating and eating. Jasming: And eating and eating. Eddy: Yeah, that about sums it up. Phil: Well great leg you guys and congratulations on your first place finish.
Phil: Don and Valerie… you are team number TWO! Don: Number two, Valerie! Phil: How does it feel to be beating all these teams who are younger than you? Valerie: Amazing! And in truth Phil, we don’t really feel old. Don: I think we’ve proven that we are just as capable as the other teams here. Age is just a number! Valerie: That’s right, Phil!
Phil: Franz and Chelsey… you are team number three. Franz: Not seventh! Chelsey: Not seventh! Both: WHOOO! Phil: I take it you’re excited to not be in seventh. Franz: We’re pumped Phil! Pumped! Chelsey: Bring on the next leg! Haha.
Baylee and Christina arrived at the Roadblock and Baylee took it for the team. Now all the teams left were at the Roadblock with Nadia, Mick, Bianca, Nick, Tanika, and Baylee eating for their teams. Of the six, the two guys were the closest to being finished. Nadia was sprawled out on benches taking a rest and feeling wretched from all the food she was trying to eat. Bianca was forcing herself to eat, as was Tanika. Baylee was just trying to make up ground and was furiously eating, knowing that her team was well behind the others.
Christina: We can do this, Baylee. We can pass these other teams.
Nick: Done! Bianca: UGH! How did he do that? Heather: Don’t worry about the other teams, Bianca. Just focus on yourself. Nick: Take a taxi to your next Pit Stop…
Tanika: Asia, I don’t think I can eat much more. Asia: Tanika, I ain’t ever known you to quit on me. You don’t start now. Tanika: Okay, I’m gonna do it! Asia: Right! Go Tanika, go!
Bianca: Heather, this is just disgusting… I don’t think I can physically eat one more bite. Heather: Take a break, then… just rest… we’re still ahead of the other teams. We have a headstart on them.
Christina: Come on, Baylee. Please girl, for the team, for the team!
Mick: Uh… done… somebody check? Clue? Thank you. Justin: Good job, Mick. Mick: Take a taxi to your next Pit Stop, Darul Aman Palace.
Tanika: One… two… three… eat. One… two… three… eat. Asia: That’s right, Tanika, that’s how you do it!
Paul: Nadia, are you okay now? Nadia: I think so. Paul: Look, you are actually farther ahead than all the other three girls, but you just need to finish. We are so close. Nadia: Okay. I’ll do it… Paul: I love you, Nadia. You can do it, babe.
Phil: Nick & Gabrielle, you are team number four. Nick: Hah! Gabrielle: We were second-to-last to get to the Roadblock. Nick devoured that Roadblock. I love this man right here! Phil: You must feel pretty sick after that. Nick: I’ve felt worse. Phil: Really? Nick: Yeah. But totally worth it to be able to beat all those other teams.
Phil: Mick & Justin, you are team number five. Mick: Okay… that’s good. Phil: Are you two doing okay? Mick: We had a horrible leg, Phil. Phil: But your finish is one place higher than the last leg. Mick: Yeah, but this was still our worst leg… we had communication issues. Phil: I understand you two stopped speaking to each other during the leg. Justin: It was my fault… Mick: No, Justin, it was mine. I was… I don’t know. I was being an idiot. I’m sorry. Justin: It’s okay, I should’ve been listening to you. Mick: Let’s just say we’re even, okay? Justin: Okay…next leg… we’ll be better. We’ll be back on top of things and working together.
Justin: We had a horrid… nightmarish leg… and the more I think about it, the more I think it was my fault… but, a lot of it was the situation, so I don’t think… that what happened will carry over to the next leg. Hopefully we can grow from this and start fresh next time.
Paul: Five more bites, Nadia… five more. Nadia: I’m going to do it, Paul… I’m doing it. Paul: I’m so proud of you, babe. Nadia: I’m almost there… Paul: One more…. One more… Nadia: Done. Oh my God, Paul! Paul: I love you, Nadia. Nadia: That was a nightmare… Paul: Hey, come on. Let’s see what’s next. Take a taxi to the Pit Stop! Let’s go!
Christina: Good job Baylee. You are doing awesome. You are catching up. Baylee: I’m like halfway done but I’m forcing myself to eat now because I just feel so full. Christina: Keep it up, Baylee.
Bianca: Ughhh…. Heather: Bianca, you’re doing it. Just keep going.
Tanika: Asia, I need to stop. I’m just going to stop for a while. Asia: Okay. Just get back in it later. Tanika: I know, I will.
Christina: Keep going Baylee. Keep going. Baylee: I can. I can do this. I can do it. Christina: Please, Baylee, please keep going. You’re making progress on the other teams.
Phil: Paul & Nadia. You are team number six. Nadia: Ohhhh, thank you. Phil: Nadia, how are you feeling? Nadia: Horrible. I thought I was going to get Paul and I eliminated. Paul: So proud of her. She really pulled through. She didn’t quit and I am proud of her.
Asia: You’re almost done, Tanika. Tanika: Gonna do it, Asia. Gonna do it.
Heather: Bianca, go! Eat, you’re almost done. Bianca: Shut up, Heather, I know… Bianca then threw up. Heather ran to get her some water. Heather: Here, drink. Bianca drank the glass of water, but then threw up again right away. Heather: Are you okay? Bianca: Yeah, I knew that was coming. I actually feel kind of better now. Heather: Keep fighting Bianca, you can do it.
Christina: Baylee, you’re a fricking superhero right now, I’m serious. Baylee: Almost done. Christina: Come on Baylee, you’re doing amazing.
Tanika: I’m done! I’m done! Asia: Yes! Yes Tanika! Tanika: Oh my gosh! Pit Stop! Let’s go.
Christina: Just a few more bites, Baylee and then it’s the Pit Stop.
Bianca: Done… I’m done, Heather. Heather: Thank you, Bianca. You’re a star, you’re an absolute star…. Pit Stop! Let’s go get a taxi.
Heather and Bianca ran outside to get a taxi. Bianca: Asia & Tanika are gone already… Heather: Taxi! No… taxi! Somebody stop for us!
Christina: Don’t worry about the other teams, Bianca. Just finish. Baylee: Almost… okay… done now. Christina: Baylee, you were incredible… now let’s go to the Pit Stop. Baylee & Christina ran outside and saw Heather & Bianca were still waiting for a taxi. Christina: Oh my god, Baylee, we still got a chance…
Heather: Taxi! Come on Bianca! Bianca: Darul Aman Palace! Christina: Crap, they got one… Baylee: Christina, here. Christina: Oh my god, oh my god, let’s go! Please!
Heather: Do you know where you’re going? Taxi: Yes. Heather: Are you sure? Taxi: Yes. Heather: Okay, we’re in a race, so please go fast.
Baylee: Please go fast, please go fast.
Bianca: What is he… why is he pulling over? Heather: He’s… what, he’s asking for directions? Bianca: Oh dear God. Heather: Sir, you said you knew! Taxi: Yes. Yes. Bianca: I think he says yes to everything Heather. Heather: I do not have a good feeling about this.
Baylee: Thank you sir, go fast, go fast. Taxi: I have to stop for gas. Both: NO! Christina: Please no! Baylee: We’re in a race. Taxi: I’m almost empty. I have to stop. Christina: No, no, no… oh my gosh…
Phil: Asia & Tanika, you are team number seven. Asia: Alright. Phil: How do you feel about the race so far? Asia: It’s been hard. But we’re strong enough. We’re strong enough to take this race on. Tanika: Very satisfied with our performance. Phil: Really? Tanika: Yes. Asia: If we weren’t stuck on the last bus, we’d be first. Phil: Really? Asia: Oh yeah, definitely. With how we did today? No doubt.
Heather: Darul Aman Palace, you are taking us to Darul Aman Palace. Taxi: Yes. Bianca: Heather, it’s not changing anything. Heather: Why do these taxi rides keep screwing us over? Ugh!
Baylee: I don’t think I can handle much more of this Christina. My heart is going to explode out of my chest. Christina: I know, but there’s really nothing we can do now. We just have to pray that what we’ve done so far has been enough.
A taxi stopped in front of Darul Aman Palace and a team ran out.
Phil: Heather and Bianca. Bianca: Yes, Phil? Phil: You are team number eight. Heather: Thank you! Oh…. Oh… what a relief! Phil: Second-to-last again. Bianca: Yeah, we’re either second-to-last or first it seems. Heather: Which means we should be first next leg, haha. Phil: You think I’ll see you first next leg? Heather: Anything that isn’t last we’ll be happy with. Bianca: Thrilled. Ecstatic.
Baylee: Hi, Phil. You look nice today. Christina: We love you… Phil: Baylee & Christina. You are the last team to arrive. Christina: That’s what we thought. Phil: I’m sorry to say you have been eliminated from the race. Baylee: Uh… well… at least the tension is over. Christina: We did our best Phil. I think we did beyond our best today. But we fell behind and we couldn’t get back up. But we tried really hard. Baylee here was a superstar…
Baylee: It’s really disappointing to work that hard and then get eliminated over something like your taxi having to stop for gas. Christina: But I’m proud of what we did. I really am. We had a lot of fun on the race, we made some good friends… we’re happy. We didn’t want to leave, but we’re happy with the time we’ve had here. Baylee: Yeah, how many people get to say they got to run the Amazing Race? Not many right… so really… no regrets. And we can’t ask for more than that.
Leg 3 Standings --- 1. EDDY & JASMINA 2. Don & Valerie 3. Franz & Chelsey 4. Nick & Gabrielle 5. Mick & Justin 6. Paul & Nadia 7. Asia & Tanika 8. Heather & Bianca 9. BAYLEE & CHRISTINA - Eliminated
